control room

The 700 square feet mixing room is based around a DigiDesign ICON. 32 faders control the ProTools 9 HD system. 24 bit recording at frequencies up to 192 kHz guarantee a quality recording. Pre amplification is done through an array of different choices:Focusrite ISA 428, NEVE 1073, RCA pre-amps, DigiDesign PRE, TeleFunken V76, Collins 12Z, RCA OP-6, etc. The Ghielmetti patch system is used to combine everything in every thinkable way. This enables the rendering of external hardware in the recording loop. The studio houses a vast collection of compressors and eq's from the 1930's until today: Federal, Urei 1176, 1178, UA 175B, Gates 39B, Pultec eqp1, Tubetech CL1B & SMC2B, etc.

Monitoring is done using DynAudio. 3 times 1200 Watt DynAudio AIR 25’s (left, right and centre) combined with 2 AIR 15 pilot speakers and a 700 Watt AIR Base 24 fill the room with perfectly balanced acoustics. Both stereo and Dolby 5.1 mixed can be produced here. For the best possible sound quality the monitors are suspended from the ceiling. plenty of room is left behind the speakers to make sure there's enough air for the lower frequencies. Of course Legacy Studio has the legendary Yamaha NS-10 nearfield monitors

In the mixing room there's a producer desk with room for 6 people and plenty of room for 3 at the control desk. Wireless Internet is available throughout the entire studio.

In the back of the control room there a two vocal booths. These are acoustically designed to be used as the perfect voice over booths.

To work with post-productions a beamer is suspended from the ceiling. It projects on an acoustically transparent screen behind the ICON.
